Were working towards the old timey life of homesteading. Developing a working farm to provide for are family and to have more simpler life were can get back down to are roots.
New Animals on the Homestead!!! Excited :)
We finally were able to get a homestead animal we have been wanting for a long time. Out of sheer dumb luck we found someone up the road we raises them.

Building a Simple Rack for Solar Panels
Great job making it extremely simple! I have a technical background... I listened to the technical videos too because I'm just wired that way... but honestly, I liked yours the best! ...It's one thing to talk theory, but better to show application... Thank You! ... Question: if you get a chance to answer, what inverters do you recommend for running a 24V or 48V battery, most I find spec out at 12V? Just curious...
🤦🏻♂️
Where were you like 2 months ago. I have been struggling to figure out how all this works, as far as watts volts. Such as how many panels needed to run TV or other devices. Finally this video makes sense and I know now exactly how many batteries and panels I need. Thank you so much and god bless you bro.
Series not Parallel. Think he meant to say Series. Voltage add in Series and Current stays the same.
Great video. I’m trying to learn too. I want a tractor like yours
You can do it!
oh it will do 150 amps, it depends on the voltage ;) @ 1V 150 amps is not all that much, however @ 60V now that's a different story
My inrunners pulled 4300w through this meter numerous times no issues, about 100 amps at 43v.
I am this guys son
Good job breaking down. Most videos try to be “too” technical. This was exactly what I wanted to know!
thanks
I have 16 panels of 435 watt And 16 panels of 555 watt Now for 15 HP motor (12 kw) How string is formed of panels (inverter 15-18)
It took me 4 years to learn and still haven't mastered it yet. In my favor I loved working on them and there is so much more than i thought. I would love to gradually switch to solar generator like the Eeco flow Delta pro. I am looking for a big sale.
oh people use it for continuous check not for some hobby like airsoft huh? i mean i got hard time to get max Amperage (Ap) as it reset to 0 or having minuscule reading like 0.02Ap while i can see the screen even having 20A+ blink
Is it safe to mix batteries with different amps but having the same voltage
Just curious....can I run 5x 100w incadecent bulbs directly off a 500w inverter with 500w solar panel on it? My goal is to use the heat from the bulbs to add heat to a room/garage during the daytime.
Mine is still a 6 volt. Trying to keep it as original as possible. But i see the advantages of having 12 volt system
Qestion- I'm trying to develop the most efficient mobile method of charging an ebike, with a rack on back, like the extra battery being charged via solar while your using up the other. Even if it doesn't fully charge it in 6-8 hours it has to be mobile, I have a 10 watt backpack which I know is nothing for a 48v li ion battery, but I also have 4 foldable 20 watt solar chargers, ny point is how to connect a mish mash of different solar panels into one inverter,so I can plug into from ebike charger? I have 2x100 watt also but forget about the ebike, how could one charge say 3x20 watt, with usb charge output built in and 2x100 watt panels into 1 source simultaneously? What the world needs is a solar panel matrix that has multiple inputs and settings, like the circuit flow on an audio mixer, and act as a final charge controller for multiple panels and inputs,AND out the other side acts as inverter..if impossible then at least a dual package deal that has universal ability to connect any combo of panels and mitigate the proper charge to battery and charging from battery, so ppl could have a mobile ebike charger and blackout kit that can be set up by a newbie, like those solar generators but do any of them multiple panel inputs for different watts? I'm thinking more along lines of just the inputs/,charge controller then user can get whatever battery, even plug into house with what little they have or take on the road with so the storage is flexible, think about the invention of a mobile kit for ebikes, bc every new ebike owner would consider it and probably half buy it, which would make it instant hit...im willing to fund and or collaborate on something like this as is spans all solar markets from. House to rv to new ones like ebike, and could really aid in the boosting of car battery, bc those solar maintainer kits come with like 7 watt panels so idk how they do anything at all

Wow just seeing this out of the box ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
Hey man I’d like to collaborate with you
Super good video ! I need some help finding a setup for what I need ! I rent a yard where I’m able to work and store my semi truck and trailer . Ineed enough juice to run Wi-Fi and 3 cameras 24/7 maybe a mini fridge . Maybe some extra juice if I needed to use electricity to charge my impacts or use a grinder or something! Portable is good too . I’m have space so shouldn’t be an issue . Please help
This panel can put out close to 100 watts ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxOqI2yqX0XVrhR2BMJciTWrHJpG8FhJyg when positioned in the appropriate southernly direction, tilted to the optimal angle for your latitude/date, and connected to a higher capacity device than a 500. The built in kickstand angle is a fixed at 50 degrees. Up to 20% more power can be output by selecting the actual date and latitude optimal angle. The 500 will only input 3.5A maximum at 18 volts for 63 watts. Some of the excess power from the panel can be fed into a USB battery bank, charged directly from the panel while also charging a 500. This will allow you to harvest as much as 63 + 15 = 78 watts. If this panel is used to charge a larger device, such as the power station, then its full output potential can be realized.
I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.
You can run whatever amount of amps or watts that your battery or batteries have enough power to run.
Where did you purchase your cabin from
Who built this, we are in KY. Also, great info didn't find you rambling. Love it!
Hi can you connect a poly and mono together with similar watts and of the same brand
Thanks this helps a lot
Wow, you say parallel then describe wired in series. Parallel will not add voltage together, 2 6v batteries parallel will be 6v, 2 6v in series will be 12v .
Sorry, you lost me at 265.
I wish someone would put a video out the gives me the basic information on how much power i would need to run basic things like a small household type coffee pot i have watched about 30 videos and every one of them get into calculations as good a job as you do explaining electrical thoery and components needed (i am quite mechanically inclined i can fix machines and run them i am a homer simpson when it comes to electrical)
Smarter than me. Thank you
Great information. Thank you for sharing.
One more thing that will help with voltage loss is to invert the DC from the panels to AC, as close to the panels as possible. Then run the AC 110 or 220 volts to your house or RV. Have an isolated fused panel separate from the main panel in home or RV. Hook up to isolated panel then you can rectify back to DC as needed and have an outlet or two wired to the isolated panel for tapping AC voltage. If you live off grid you could hook directly to the main panel and when you need to run a generator you my need a relay switch to de energise the AC coming from the panels so as not to burn up your panel inverter from back feeding. Some inverters have a circuit to prevent this but the cheaper ones don't. I've lived off grid for many years and am a retired electrician. If that helps...
Or you can do it the right way!
50watts for an iPhone ?!?!?!? Even 7 years ago, that number is incredibly inaccurate.
that guy is an idiot
My recommendation is to invest in lifep04 batteries. The 100ah ones. Or up.
Hey Bob great video btw...anyway how many batteries and cost of each is every run in parallel or what
I’m late to the show. Got my 49’ model today. Hey, everything’s a learning curve. Long as we don’t kill ourselves doing it. 😂
Typical Arborist = if it isnt Stihl it isnt a chainsaw. Stihl or go home.
it goes in by the gear shift dufus
that’s what wrenches r for stupid
I would love an update video on your dad's place! Please 🙂?
Great job! Knowledge is power. According to most feedback on here, your simplistic explanation has made more people (including me) knowledgeable about this often complex subject matter! Keep up the great work! 😊
Thanks.
Excellent for my level of smartness
It's nice to have family help u build
I wouldn't know how to find any Amish builders in Huntsville, tx.
How can you call the Husqvarna a budget saw. They are equal as the Stihl in the same class. And all my fellow loggers all over usually go for Huskies instead of Stihls😄
Your wife’s boyfriend was helpful, he helped me hook up my vehicle. Good guy.
100 watts isn't a lot. The batteries make it seem like more until they run down. Mppt charge controllers are well worth the money as well as lithium batteries. Starting off cheap is fine but you will quickly realize that you need to upgrade.
